Sarmi is the capital of the subdivision of the same name. Because of its location on the coast it is
much more accessible to the outside world than most outposts in the interior. Once every four weeks a ship
of the Royal Packet Company calls at Sarmi on its run from Hollandia to Biak and vice versa.
